INTERMEDIATE/UPPER INTERMEDIATE COURSE

Autumn term dates: 25th September – 14th December 2018  (half term 22nd – 28th October)
Tuesday, 5 – 7 pm and Friday, 5 – 7pm (4 hours per week)
Spring term: 21st January – 12th April 2019 (half-term 18th-22nd February)
Summer term: 29th April – 12th July 2019 (half-term 27th May – 2nd June)

Entry level: at least two years of English

Learning outcomes:

  • interact fluently and construct more complex sentences;
  • write interesting articles and discuss short stories;
  • consolidate your knowledge of advanced grammar (ex. subjunctive, reported speech, etc.) and vocabulary;
  • improve your knowledge of British work ethics and society.

Teaching method:

  • combination of lessons based on communicative approach with active learning (ex. class discussions, group work, role plays, etc.) and practice exercises to improve the four basic language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing);
  • small class sizes which facilitate learners’ progress;
  • native teachers, CELTA qualified;
  • pre- and post- course tests to evaluate students’ improvement.
